Plasma vortices driven by magnetic torsion generated by electric currents in non-magnetic planetary wakes

In non-collisional magnetised astrophysical plasmas, vortices can form as it is the case of Venus plasma wake where Lundin et al. (2013) identified a large vortex through integration data many orbits from Express (VEX) spacecraft. On one hand, our purpose to develop theoretical foundation in order explain occurrence and formation plasmas. other apply latter study vorticity wakes Mars. We introduce two theorems corollaries, which may be applicable any system, that relate electromagnetic variables such magnetic field electric current density. also toy model for non-magnetised planetary bodies. From proposed model, using VEX Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) spacecraft, we identify single spacecraft crossings. spatial coincidence between density maxima confirming consistency model. conclude plasmas are always linked currents both coexist. This suggests mechanism produces this type mutual interaction field, first approximation explained considering generated by difference speeds species, i. e., u→p≠u→e, induce fields modify existing produce helical configuration drives charged particles along trajectories.
